Welcome to Berkeley Castle!
Berkeley Castle is one of the most remarkable buildings in Britain and possibly the most outstanding example of Mediaeval domestic architecture in the country. Other Castles were “modernised” by successive generations, but Berkeley quietly survived as it is: a Norman fortress, evolving over the years into a secure, comfortable home with the same family, the Berkeleys, living in it since it was built it in 1153.

The Castle is surrounded by Elizabethan terraced gardens, which are themselves encircled by the Meadows – some 23 acres of flat fields with direct access from the road and a similar area which can be used for car parking.
Berkeley Castle is a flexible venue providing prestigious and secure surroundings for corporate events and catering. It provides the perfect backdrop to product launches where luxury, tradition and character are the watchwords – and with its quirky towers and corners, it adds a taste of the unusual and unexpected. It is a quality venue for entertainment of many kinds, and in combination with the 6,000-acre Berkeley Estate can offer a wide variety of backdrops for your event.
