Our purpose built centre offers a wide choice of rooms and conference space that can accommodate 10 to 110 people, providing a high quality venue for conferences, meetings, training, exhibitions and demonstrations.

All of our rooms are bright and spacious, benefiting from natural daylight, and can be set up to accommodate individual event layouts and requirements as requested. Each room is fully equipped with state of the art IT facilities and audio-visual aids and the centre also boasts a PC Suite that can accommodate up to 40 users - ideal for training and IT based demonstrations. We are open from 7am to 11pm, seven days a week, and our friendly, professional conference team is dedicated to ensuring the smooth running of your event at every stage. The centre offers in-house technical support throughout the day and our technicians are always on hand to provide assistance and expert advice if necessary.
 
Environmental issues are very important to the SHSC and we are very happy to have achieved the Green Business Tourism Silver Award. Within our Conference Team are dedicated 'Green Team' members who can offer 'Green Packages' and give advice to our clients who would like to make their events more sustainable in relation to climate change.
 
Following a recent site inspection we are pleased to announce that the SHSC and all services within the centre were found to comply with the ABPI 2006 Code of Practice, meaning the SHSC is now a recommended meetings and conference accommodation venue for the pharmaceutical industry and the obvious venue choice for pharmaceutical companies seeking compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
 
The SHSC can also offer a full range of on-site support services including Internet access, business facilities and preferential accommodation rates at local hotels. In addition, our catering service is also available seven days a week and our in-house chef can provide a wide selection of appetising menus individually tailored to suit your event, your taste and your budget.
 
Conveniently located within easy reach of Edinburgh city centre and all major road, rail and air links, the SHSC has the added attraction of free, on-site parking facilities.
