The Hub, Edinburgh’s iconic landmark, towers over the heart of the world’s leading festival city, gloriously dominating the skyline on the Royal Mile between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood.
This unique and spectacular venue is a stunning combination of aware-winning contemporary design and classic Victorian architecture. The Hub’s interior pulsates with colour, light and creative ideas as befits the home of the Edinburgh International Festival.
Full of style and verve, The Hub is a dramatic and dynamic environment for your event, whether business or celebration. Since 1999 we have developed and established a reputation for quality, service and outstanding Scottish cuisine which, like The Hub itself, blends the modern with traditional to spectacular effect.
The Hub means business. The Hub is celebration.
The Glass Room
The Glass Room is our modern take on the traditional boardroom. Located high up in a quiet part of the building it allows for uninterrupted seclusion and has its own private balcony with fabulous views across the city to the Pentland Hills.
The Dunard Library
Adjacent to The Main Hall is our smaller meeting space, the Dunard Library. In contrast to our more dramatic rooms, the Dunard Library is quietly serene. Refurbished in 2004 and fitted with new multi-media facilities, this room is ideal for meetings and presentations. It can be used either in conjunction with the Main Hall or for a separate, smaller event. But the Dunard Library holds a secret… a smart wood paneled wall rises to reveal a hidden bar for dispensing drinks to party guests. Catering for 60 people for lunch or dinner and 100 for a reception, this Library is very much a part of The Hub’s beating, celebrating heart.
The Main Hall
For memorable events in extravagant surroundings, look nowhere else. The Hub’s spectacular Main Hall, with its astonishing design, is the prime choice in Edinburgh for banquets, celebrations and business events.
This spacious Main Hall can host dinners for over 300 people and meetings and receptions for up to 550. The Hall is highly equipped and can be dressed and lit to fulfill your vision.
As you welcome your guests they enter through the wonderful, dramatic and entirely unique Sculpture Hall. Created around a sweeping romantic staircase, the Sculpture Hall is a sumptuous tribute to the history of the International Festival with over 200 individual artworks.
Overlooking the Main Hall on three sides is the Gallery, a beautiful and exciting space in itself, ideal for pre-dinner drinks, smaller receptions and as a break out space.
Cafe Hub
The modern restaurant at The Hub can be hired for exclusive events. Its vaulted ceiling and tall gothic windows create a stunning backdrop for private dining. This exciting space is also the perfect location for breakfast meetings, coffee breaks, drinks receptions and exhibitions.
During the summer, guests can spill our onto the open air terrace and enjoy an alfresco drinks and some delicious contemporary cuisine.
