Award winning venue ExCeL London, provides event organisers with unrivalled scale and flexibility. The centrepiece of Docklands, ExCeL London is an official 2012 Olympic Games venue and able to host events for 20 to 20,000 attendees.

Its flexible floor plan enables large, complex events to be easily catered for in its Event Halls. Moreover, the venue’s scale means multifaceted events can be readily accommodated with a plenary session co-located within an exhibition and hospitality area, or awards ceremony alongside reception and gala dinner.

Complementing the versatile Event Halls, the prestigious Platinum Suite provides integrated solutions for product launches, gala dinners and conferences.  Able to accommodate 400 – 1,100 delegates, it can be used exclusively or in conjunction with the venue’s other event spaces and features its own reception, registration and lobby area, coffee bar, cloakroom and break-out rooms over three floors.

An additional 45 meeting/syndicate rooms are offered as single or double rooms; ideal for planners who require smaller, intimate meeting and private dining space for 20 to 200 guests. Many of these rooms have attractive waterside views with access to balconies, making them particularly appealing for VIP events.

Increasingly popular with the public sector, 2005 saw the venue play host to the Department of Health’s celebratory and networking event, NHS Live. Attended by 1,500 delegates. NHS Live took the format of a morning conference and afternoon awards ceremony running alongside an all day exhibition with plenary session plus master classes throughout.

Already home to major consumer shows including The Schroders London Boat Show and nine of the capital’s top ten trade exhibitions, ExCeL London is rapidly building a pedigree reputation for its suitability for and ability to stage successful international conferences and other functions including major sporting events such as the London Triathlon – the largest triathlon in Europe.

2005 saw several large multifaceted events come to the capital including the 4th European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress, which attracted 9,000 delegates. This buoyant trend has continued at a significant pace. The venue recently announced that it had won the bid to stage the largest medical meeting ever to come to London. Gastro 2009 is expected to attract 12,000 – 15,000 delegates from around the globe during a five-day event which is projected to generate over £17m for the London economy in delegate spend alone.

Located adjacent to London City Airport with flights from over 25 European cities, the self contained and secure ExCeL London campus boasts six onsite hotels with 1,500 rooms, over 30 bars/cafes/restaurants, 4,000 parking spaces, and easy access to the rest of London by DLR and tube making it a firm favourite for visitors and delegates attending exhibitions and conferences.
