Community Matron and Case Manager Education and Training
A new guide for commissioners and providers of community matron and case manager education and training has now been published.
The guide, titled Caring for people with long term conditions: an education framework for community matrons and case managers is designed to ensure that the education and training that practitioners receive, enables them to provide more effective care for people with long term conditions.
The guide complements the Case management competencies framework for the care of people with long term conditions, published in August 2005.
The majority of the new document's content will also apply to health and social care professionals working as case managers.
