A Portal for the Public Service Industry
SourceUK.net provides a combined news and information service designed to meet the needs of the UK Public Service Manager.
Our aim is to:
- Provide, free at the point of access, useful and up-to-date information from over 80 Government departments, agencies and other Public sector organisations, to the public service manager and private sector suppliers.
- Offer additional information, greater depth and relevant hot links to background documents, on subjects which, because of their nature are only briefly mentioned in other media.
- Provide independent comment, of both a serious and humorous nature, on the latest developments and trends.
- Flag up consultations, Best Practice, new initiatives, etc. to both public and private sector managers, as well as users of services and the general public.
- Encourage suppliers to provide generic information about developments in technology and service provision, which will assist public sector managers in forming policies and strategies and drawing up specifications, prior to possibly purchasing / implementing new “solutions”.
- Provide a platform for raising both domestic and international issues and stimulating the debate on them.
